Village of Wolcott Dissolution
On November 15, 2023 a completed Petition for Dissolution in accordance with the Article 17-A of General Municipal Law was submitted. The petition contained 86 valid signatures and was certified on November 25, 2023.
The village hired an independent study done before the vote was taken. The laberge group is the company that performed the study.

The Citizens of the Village of Wolcott overwhelmingly voted against Dissolution
In a referendum held on March 12th, 2024, the voters of the Village of Wolcott voted against Village dissolution. The vote in the dissolution referendum was 317 “no” votes to 67 “yes” votes.
